Cam’s Colors

2021 | BFA Thesis Project

“Cam's Colors: A Show & Tail of Emotions provides a colorful world and character that teaches and encourages emotional health in children. This book takes the opportunity to facilitate open conversations, while providing children with the vocabulary they need to communicate their emotions and even ask for help.”

This project remains one of my personal favorites, both for the challenges it presented and the growth it sparked in me as an illustrator. Not only did it push my creative abilities, but it reinforced the profound impact that thoughtful, purpose-driven design can have.

Cam’s Colors is currently taught in multiple elementary classrooms across the U.S. as an emotional health resource. I’ve received several colored chameleons and heartfelt drawings in my inbox.
